Here at NFP Connect we offer support, connection and education through various events, for those working for and with local charities and not-for-profits.
Our NFP Connect Breakfast is predominantly for not-for-profit employees, owners, leaders and anyone related to the field or interested in the monthly topic.
We also run peer to peer mentoring, coffee catch up and planning workshops throughout the year.
For our first breakfast for 2016 we’re really excited to bring to you Charlotte Thaarup-Owen who is one of Australia’s leading experts on Mindfulness. This is an opportunity to find out what mindfulness is and how it can help you think clearer, be more focused whether at work or at home, while also helping you be in a state that is more conducive to good and healthy relationships. The session is a mix of the ancient practice of mindfulness, research and science as well as experiencing Mindfulness so you have the tools to integrate it into your life.
Speaker: Charlotte Thaarup whose ‘Resilient and Thriving People’ Mindfulness program, and her ‘Mindful Leadership program’ are some of the first corporate mindfulness programs within Australia. Both programs are currently being researched in partnership with Macquarie University. First results show a reduction in stress levels of 28%. Charlotte has over 20 years experience in facilitating change and personal and interpersonal development as well as leadership training, retreats and 360 feedback. She is a registered and accredited mediator and has worked at executive level in both the public and not for profit sectors. For the past eight years she has been facilitating Mindfulness as retreats, workshops and coaching as well as dealing with complex workplace disputes.
