Youth Express Association is a local charity that supports young people and their families to negotiate the transition from education into employment. It was developed as a result of a Maitland Business Chamber initiative that saw the need for a more interactive, shared approach between education and industry in the work-readiness skill development of young people.

Through the development of strong relationships between educators, employers, young people and their families, Youth Express supports young people to develop strong personal skills and raises aspiration and participation through interactive exposure to local business and industry.

– To Engage parents/family, business education and community to support the skill development of young people
– To Provide links and programs to help young people build confidence through self-development programs
– To Encourage business to re-engage with and recognise the potential of young people
– To Maintain a social media profile that includes information advice and links
– Provide skill development based programs that link to educational choices and information provision
– Provide career development support activities
