EquiEnergy Youth is a not for profit and registered charity specialising in delivering mental health training, education and awareness programs to government and community managed organisations. We raise money to improve social outcomes for young people and the community.

We are a NSW based organisation, and are all about reconnecting young people to the communities in which they live, locally and across Australia. Our approach is evidence-based and pioneering in this field. We seek to take a leading role for the community, government and other organisations as the social environment changes for young people and we face new challenges together.

Dr. Stephen Spencer (PhD), our Clinical Director, has worked extensively in the areas of acute adult, child and adolescent mental health. Stephen is passionate about the health and well-being of young people. He has made this his life’s work and is recognised as a leader in this field by his peers. His clinical experience includes Paediatric Consultation Liaison Services and Clinical Nurse Education. Stephen has been a Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression (PMVA) trainer since 2006. He is also trained in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy for Psychosis in Young People. Stephen is a current member of the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses.
