NFP Connect exists to bridge the gap between local charities, not-for-profits (NFP) and the business community.
As the community, and the community sector, mobilises to respond to the COVID-19 challenges, The City of Newcastle (CN) and NFP Connect have joined forces to rapidly respond.
NFP Connect will be contacting local charities, not-for-profits and for-purpose organisations that support our community’s most vulnerable, to help CN with their rapid response funding allocations.
These include, but are not limited to, the elderly, at-risk youth, disability and homelessness services.
Throughout this project, NFP Connect will also be seeking out local businesses that can support these organisations with their immediate needs. In essence, this could be products and services they already provide or new initiatives that have arisen during the COVID-19 crisis.
The information that we are gathering will provide an understanding of how we can respond to immediate and long-term needs.
